I decided to go to resume company a long time before I actually wanted to quit the current job. I wanted to start sending my CV to various companies and only quit when I find something better. As I’ve been working for over 3 years here, I was sure my application documents definitely needed some improvements.

Resume Doctor promises to make an eye-catching resume for you and ensure that you get interviewed. The site, however, looked so outdated and wasn’t eye-catching at all.

As I noticed from the site, they offered resume writing only. No online profiles, no letters. Details of order

I have provided my personal details and paid. As soon as I did, I uploaded the documents they requested: an old resume, a sample of my target job, and also filled in the job questionnaire. I thought there will be a phone consultation with the writer, but there wasn’t any. Three days later the writer emailed me back my old resume with his notes and questions. I answered all of these extra questions and sent the document back to writer. To be honest, I was a bit annoyed that it took me so long to answer all these endless questions.

Quality of support and writing

The company has a contact phone number, but doesn’t have a chat, which is an inconvenience if you want to contact them in the evening etc. I got an email with a final resume attached in 4 days. The writer also told that he was ready to make corrections if necessary. Well… I checked it and cannot say there was something special in my resume. The design was dull, and the writer didn’t change the description of my past employment.

Conclusion

In spite of the price which was above average and tons of information I provided to the writer I still wasn’t happy with my resume. I used it, but only after asking one HR manager have a look at it and correct. To be honest, I expected to have any problems with the service and these expectations didn’t come true. So you’d better look for more reliable service.
