A company focused at providing a wide range of writing services, not limited to resume writing. I got a considerably good career change resume. The resume looked pretty generic, but cover letter explained my reasons and ambitions. However, due to the long turnaround and poor communication, I will not deal with the company again.
After 9 years in sales I was in the middle of career change. I didn’t know how to explain things in my resume and was looking for someone who could. The search of career assistance led me to this website, designed in light shades and providing various writing services, from resumes to essays. The first page promised free resume review; and I decided to take the advantage of it. I uploaded my old resume and provided contact detail.
Order and prices
I got a critique two days later. To my regret, it wasn’t very detailed as someone who did it simply pointed out at my mistakes and recommended to buy writing services. Yeah, it was quite predictable. I found out that the needed package including resume and cover letter will cost me $550. Resumes for students are around $300, while the executive’s is $800 and above. Well, it’s not the most affordable service I’ve seen. Upon receipt of my payment, they sent over a career questionnaire which was very lengthy and it took me hours to answer all questions.
Support and writing
I was shocked when I noticed that their turnaround was up to 21 days. When I sent a questionnaire, my writer contacted me the next day to ask some extra questions. After that, I haven’t heard from anyone in around a week. I became anxious about it as I paid solid money and didn’t want to stay with nothing. So, I called them to find out about the process. I couldn’t reach them at once; what is more, the person on the phone kept me waiting for minutes just to inform that the writer needs more time to finish my package. It took the writer around 12 days to compose my resume and letter.
The bottom line
My impressions? Speaking about resume quality, I got a considerably good career change resume. The resume looked pretty generic, but cover letter explained my reasons and ambitions. However, due to the other aspects, I will not deal with the company again – the long turnaround and poor communication aren’t something I would like to deal with.
